Obituary

Charles Henry Waterbury III, born on July 5, 1953 to Charles Henry Waterbury Jr. and Ruth A. Gallant Waterbury passed peacefully in his sleep surrounded by the love of his family, at Hospice of Dayton in Dayton, Ohio.

Charlie, as he was known as by his family and friends, spent most of his life driving an 18 wheeler. Flat bed hauling was his favorite; he could haul any trailer out there. He loved being on the road. So many new things to do and see. An adventure was never far when you were with Charlie. When he was not exploring the country, he loved to tinker in his garage on one project or another. Never did he miss an opportunity to spend time with his family. On the road or off, seeing his family was important to him. One of his other hobbies was collecting ducks.  He was the glue and rock of our family.

Charles Henry Waterbury III was preceded in death by his father Charles Henry Waterbury Jr.; mother Ruth A. Gallant Waterbury Navarro, Brother Ross A. Waterbury and granddaughter Isabella Rose Waterbury. Charlie leaves behind 3 siblings, Kathryn Leone ( Gary Leone) of Stratford, Ct, Tina McClure of Chicago Ill and Paul Waterbury; 3 children John Waterbury ( Stacey Waterbury) of Hendersonville, Nc, Shannon Waterbury (Rodney Bresnan) of Crystal River, Fl and Charles H. Waterbury IV (Jessica Waterbury) of Naugatuck, Ct. In total Charlie had 5 grand children. Cody and Kylie Waterbury as well as Rhiannon, Paige and James Waterbury. He also had 2 great granddaughters Eisley Eastman and Vivian McKinnon whom he loved with all his heart.

Charles requested that no one feel sadness. He is in a place where pain does not exist. He has been reunited with his family and friends that preceded him. He will be greatly missed by the loved ones he leaves behind. We will see you on the other side.
