Obituary

Wayne Anthony Boykin Sr., age 66 of Englewood, Ohio, passed away on Monday June 15, 2026. He was born March 27, 1960, in Dayton, Ohio to Leonard Motes and Virginia Brandon.

Wayne enjoyed working at Old Charlies in the Salem Mall and Cold Beers and Cheeseburger in Downtown Dayton. He had a passion for fishing, playing dominoes, corn hole, shooting pool, and playing spades. His two favorite football teams the Dallas Cowboys, Ohio State Buckeyes. He also enjoyed family barbecues with his children and family.  

He leaves to Cherish in his loving memory his sons and daughters Wayne Boykin Jr.(Shauntavia), Nathaniel Santos(Kathelece), Keisha Boykin(Anthony(Tony)), Laquitta Bush, Laninah Cook(Samuel(Shawn), brothers Vernon Boykin, Lynn Boykin, Randall Boykin, sisters Linda J. Guy, and Tracie Jones(Ernest). He is proceeded in death by his father Leonard Motes, mother Virginia Brandon, brothers Allen Boykin, Martin Boykin, Curtis Motes, Leonard Motes ll, sister Constance Boykin(Connie), son Samuel T. Cook(Shawn), great grand children Miracle P. Boykin, Zy’Aire Walker, Jaime Carpenter.

Memorial Services will be held at Glickler Funeral Home & Service 1849 Salem Ave. Dayton, Ohio 45406 on Friday June 26, 2026. Family will receive friends from 11:00 am – 11:45 am. Service will start at 11:45 am – 1:00 pm. Online condolences may be left for the family at (www.glickerfuneralhome.com)
