Obituary

Ward E. Stettler Jr., age 79, of Dayton, Ohio, passed away peacefully on March 19, 2026. He was born on July 5, 1946, to Ward E. Stettler Sr. and Susan Stettler.

Ward spent much of his life working as a semi-truck driver, a career that reflected his strong work ethic, independence, and love for the open road. Outside of work, he found joy in riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle and, most importantly, in spending time with his family.

He is lovingly remembered by his granddaughter, Brandy Traore, and her husband, Cheikh Traore; his great-grandchildren, Gabriel, Ameira, and Aleiya Traore; as well as his granddaughter, Alyssa Graham, and her husband, Bryan Graham. He is also survived by his estranged daughter, Michelle Back, and grandson, Michael Stettler. His family was the center of his life, and he took great pride in each of them.

Ward will be remembered for his resilience, his love of freedom, and the lasting memories he created with those closest to him. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
