Obituary

Vickie Lynn Laudermilk, age 69 of Dayton, Ohio passed away peacefully on April 2, 2026 in her home surrounded by family. She was born September 6th 1956 in Dayton, Ohio to Mae White and Charles McDaniel.

She is survived by husband Tony Laudermilk, children son Corey McNeil and daughter Heather McNeil. Brothers Barry Dean White, Michael White, Barry Ray White and sister Diane White. Grandchildren Destanity, Taylor, Travis, and Elissa. Great grandchildren Kamdyn, Brantley, AvaLynn, Kyler, Braylon, Brielle, and Sutton. Along with her beloved dog Dee Dee.

Vickie is preceded in death by her mother, Mae White, Father Charles McDaniel , sister Caroline White and brothers Russell Smith, Randy “Bub” McDaniel, sister-in law Linda White, and brother-in law Bobby Laudermilk.

Vickie was a 1975 graduate of Wilbur Wright High School in Dayton, Ohio. Soon after starting a family, she was employed at Hoffman’s carry-out on Airway Rd. Many of us knew Vickie from the Fairfield Commons Mall where she worked for a number of years, this is where she would greet each of us and talk for hours with friends and family.

Following her retirement from the mall some of her favorite things to do were pool time, enjoying a good cold beer, listening to her country music and hanging out with close friends and family. She spent many hours in her backyard pool soaking up the sun and enjoying life.

Vickie Lynn made each of us feel loved and welcome, with her warm smile and her little giggles. If you knew her,  you knew her favorite saying, “Who loves you baby”. Vickie Lynn will be deeply missed by her family and close friends.

Rather than a traditional service, the family will be planning a celebration of life to honor her beautiful spirit. Details will be shared with family and friends once arrangements are finalized. Flowers are welcome, or donations may be made in her memory to a local animal or women’s shelter.

Heather and Corey, I am so sorry. I adored Miss Vickie. When we were kids my mom worked with her at the carryout. Then I worked with her at the mall for about a year back when I was 18 I think. She was such a bright light. Always positive, with a beautiful smile and contagious laugh. She truly was a beautiful soul and will be missed dearly. Sending you guys love and prayers.

I hate to hear this new so bad!!!!! I went to high school with Vicki and we cheered together. She was a ray of sunshine which isn’t common in people these days, her smile lit up a room and her giggles were heart warming. I loved her as my friend and I will never 4get the memories of her at WWHS. RIP dear friend, and I’ll see you again someday. …..Beverlee Fulks Harris
