Obituary

Terry Adams of Dayton (formerly of Maineville) passed away on Friday, April 3, 2026 at age 67.

She is survived by her children, Angel (Eric) and Adam (Carla); and grandchildren Jaxon and Bristol.

Terry is also survived by her siblings, Kimberly Jones, Sharon Waitkus, Dr. Tim (Jennifer) Adams, Dr. Darren Chad Adams, Jon (Lee) Adams; uncle John “Bub” Hunter, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Joan Adams; her sister Ginny Berry; and her brothers, Scott Adams and Dr. Kris Adams.

Terry was born in Covington, Kentucky on January 13, 1959. She grew up in Maineville and graduated from Kings High School. Like the rest of the Adams clan, she spent a lot of her time at the Station and the drag strip. She spent her early working years bartending at the Kings Island Inn and at Kenner Toys, later becoming a familiar face to many local families as a bus driver for Kings School District. From there Terry transitioned into healthcare, first as a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) in 1998 and then as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in 2001. Terry spent many years working in Long Term Care facilities but eventually took her skills on the road as a travel nurse. Her work travels took her to prisons, jails and clinics across the country from Maine to- her favorite place- Alaska.

And of course, no tribute to Terry would be complete without mentioning her devotion to Dr. Pepper.

To honor Terry’s wishes, no formal service will be held. Her family will honor her final request: “Just cremate me and leave a little bit of me on any mountain anywhere and I will be one happy soul.”

Angel, Adam, and family I am sorry for your loss. Your mom was my childhood friend and we stayed close during the birth of our children. As kids I couldn’t keep up with your mom. She was smarter, ran faster, and her impeccable hand writing! We rode bikes, climbed trees,, and flew in the box car down her street. Peace to Terry❤️
