Obituary
Ross Hooper, age 70, of Dayton, Ohio, who departed this life on Tuesday, July 30, 2024. Ross was born on May 14, 1954, to the late Ross and Eula Hooper.
Affectionately known as “Ducky,” Ross was one of five cherished siblings and a lifelong resident of Dayton. He attended Dayton Public Schools and became a beloved figure in the community, known for his genuine spirit and profound love for both people and animals. Ross had a remarkable ability to fix anything, earning him the reputation of an exceptional handyman. He also owned his own business, Automotive Upholstery, for many years in Houston, Texas, where he was well-respected for his craftsmanship.
In addition to his professional talents, Ross had a passion for music and enjoyed skating. He was well-known for his tricks and skating abilities, often lighting up the rink with his enthusiasm and skill.
Ross is preceded in death by his parents, Ross, and Eula Hooper. He leaves behind a loving family, including his devoted wife of 35 years, Lynette Hooper, and his three brothers: Dwight (Rhonda) Hooper, Timmie Hooper, and Antonio (Cora) Hooper, as well as his sister, Shirley (Marvin) Garmon. He is also survived by his beloved dog, Que, who was a constant companion and source of joy in his life, along with a host of relatives and friends who will cherish his memory.
