Obituary

Robert L. Simpson, age 68, of Dayton, Ohio, passed away peacefully on May 15, 2026. Born on June 26, 1957, in Tennessee, Robert was the beloved son of Jewell Walker and Charles Simpson.

Bob was a devoted father to Robert Simpson, Michael Simpson, Ashley Simpson, and Arron Simpson, all of Dayton. He was a proud grandfather to Nevaeh, Liam, Caleb, Brooklyn, and Ronnie, all of whom brought great joy to his life. He also leaves behind his former wife, Lori Simpson, with whom he shared many years and a family together.

He is also survived by his loving sisters, Mary, Gail, Shirley, and Michelle, and his brother Sonny, along with many cherished nieces and nephews including Austin, Nadeau, Tyler, Nicole, Constance, and Crystal Ray.

Bob will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor and his love of laughter. He had a long and dedicated career with General Motors and Frigidaire, where he was known for his strong work ethic and willingness to stay busy. Outside of work, Bob loved working on cars and spent many happy hours tinkering as a mechanic, a passion that brought him great satisfaction throughout his life.

After suffering a stroke several years ago, Bob courageously faced many challenges. During that time, he was lovingly cared for by the staff at The Laurels of Kettering, whose kindness and compassion meant so much to him and his family.

Robert will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His laughter, hardworking spirit, and love for his family will forever remain in the hearts of those he leaves behind.
