Obituary

Robert L. Lyons, age 65, died on August 22, 2024 at Miami Hospital North in Englewood, Ohio.  

There will be a gravesite service with military honors at the Dayton National Cemetery on September 3, 2024 at 11:00 a.m.

Robert was born on September 22, 1958 in Xenia, Ohio to Robert Lyons and Charlene (Sisson) Huffman. He served in the Navy as a Hospital Corpsman where he received letters of commendation and was awarded a Navy Achievement Medal for service as a Laboratory Technician while serving on the USS New Jersey in 1983.

Robert also loved music and played in various bands around Dayton, Ohio, while in the service and around the US while traveling with other musicians.

Robert is preceded in death by his father, Robert Lyons, Sr, and his stepfather, Merle Huffman.

Robert is survived by his son, Matthew Lyons, Matthew’s wife and 2 children; his brother, Jerry Lyons and stepbrother Michael Huffman; his stepsisters Lori Brewer, Nancy Thompson and Kelly Snader; and his mother Charlene Huffman.
