Obituary

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Pamela Jean McElrath, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, who departed this world on August 7, 2026. Born on October 2, 1955, in Dayton, Ohio, Pamela was the cherished daughter of Winfred Wells Sr. and Patricia Wells. Her life was a testament to kindness, resilience, and unwavering love for her family and community.

Pamela was united in marriage to  Floyd Lee McElrath Jr., in January 1980, a partnership that blossomed into a beautiful family. She is survived by her devoted children, Floyd McElrath III and Tiffany McElrath, who were her pride and joy. Her nurturing spirit lives on in her five grandchildren, Caleb Maki Smith, Shaunteahna McElrath, Floyd McElrath IV, Kaden McElrath, and Malachi Wilcox, as well as her precious great-grandson, Avery McElrath.

Pamela was predeceased by her siblings, Winfred Wells Jr., Kim Johnson, Angie Luckett, and Renee Wells who now welcome her into eternal rest. She leaves behind her loving sisters, Audrey Wells, Sherry Danelak, and Michelle (Orenzo) Daniels, along with a host of nieces, nephews, and dear friends who will forever cherish her memory.

A proud graduate of Meadowdale High School, Pamela’s commitment to her community was evident in her active participation in the Kitchen Ministry at Germantown Church of Christ. Her efforts in sending Phoebegrams were a testament to her devotion to uplifting others. Pamela’s love for gardening symbolized her nurturing nature, and her passion for helping others was boundless.

Known for her kind heart and infectious laughter, Pamela had the unique ability to bring warmth and joy into any room she entered. Her stubborn determination was a testament to her strength, and she faced life’s challenges with grace and courage. As an organ donor, Pamela’s legacy of generosity continues, offering hope and life to others even after her passing.
