Obituary

Maxine Lynn Belk was born on February 8, 1954, in Dayton, Ohio to the late McKevious and Mary Black. Maxine was called home on November 11, 2023, at the age of 69 surrounded by her loving family. Maxine confessed to Christ at an early age, she was a member of Resurrection Baptist Church, Dayton, Ohio; Maxine also worked at Dayton Women’s Club for over 10 years.

Maxine was preceded in death by her father (McKevious Black), her mother (Mary Black), brother (Donald Arnold), two sisters (Florence Jackson and Wanda Hodges), her two stepsisters (Lawanna Williams, Geraldine Phillips) and her Beloved son (Maccado Black).

Maxine is survived by and will be greatly missed by her two loving and devoted sons, Larry Black and Eric Black; four granddaughters; Erica, Ebony, Ayroln and Amari Black; seven grandsons; Darren Groves (Sam), Larry (Tory)Black Jr, Von (Shala) Black, Marc Black, Maccado Black Jr. Jacob Black and Makivious Black; three sisters; Marilyn Hayes, Phyllis Hamilton, Kathy(William)Allen; three brothers; Michael Black, Raymond(Janet) Black and Douglas Black. Two Stepsisters; Beverly Rakestraw and Marsha Armstrong.

Maxine is also survived by her Great grandchildren, Special niece {Gladys Jackson) nephews, nieces, cousins, Special cousin; {Tracie{Mark) Larry); Best friends; {Frank Traylor and Charlotte Griffin) and friends.

Maxine will truly be missed by all who loved her. Maxine’s legacy and giving spirit will continue through her generous gift of loving everyone that she encountered and in the words of Maxine “I don’t have much but welcome to Buckingham Palace”.

    I was so speechless snd heartbroken when I received the word of your transition but very blessed to talk to you a few hours before you left here. I’m not going to say much because I’m still a little speechless but thank you for being the best Friend/Sister EVER. I loved you back then, I love you now and I will always love you. I can see you just running around heaven shouting and praising until the Lord say Maxine sit you little self down and give someone else a turn. 😆 🤣 😂 😆 🤣 Again I love you and I’m going to miss you sooooooooooooo much.
