Obituary
Mary Kathryn (Patrick) Riggsby, age 91 of Jamestown, peacefully passed away on Saturday, January 3, 2026 at Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton. She was born March 7, 1934 in Burning Fork, Kentucky, the daughter of Caz and Eulah Patrick.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband Raymond Riggsby December 21, 1999; her father Caz Patrick, her mother Eulah Patrick, her brother Caz Patrick Jr., her brother Joe Patrick, sister Lerlene Patrick, son-in-law Dale Caraway, son-in-law Kenny Dalton, sister-in-law Opal Patrick, nephew Danny Patrick, nephew Joey Patrick, niece Jodi Daugherty, and good friend Glen Anderson.
She is survived by her children: Rhonda (Michael) Dillon, Phillip Riggsby, Regina (Terry Southerland) Dalton, Neal (Angie) Riggsby, sister Hetty (Charles) Daugherty, sister Theda (Bill) Moorman. 6 Grandchildren: John (Kim) Caraway, Brent (Brooke) Caraway, Kyle (Codie Kendrick) Caraway, Phylese Brown, Jeffrey (Erin) Whitehead, Fancy (Dusty Davis) Zurface. 16 Great Grandchildren and 3 Great Great Grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Mary was the heart of her family. She was known for her deep love of her children and grandchildren. She was also a person that treated anyone that entered her home like they were family and a lot of people thought of her as a mother figure. Her home was where everyone loved to gather where they could eat her delicious home cooking and play games. Several of her friends also nicknamed her “Miss Daisy” because she would drive them wherever they wanted to go!!
She was a member of Creekside Christian Church of Jamestown. She enjoyed taking motorcycle trips with her husband Raymond and friends (in her younger years) and playing euchre and crafting at the Senior Center in Jamestown.
She had several different jobs in her lifetime. The most important to her was raising her children. She started out her career working at a bank in Xenia, then her and Dad owned a shoe store and also did shoe repair here in Jamestown. Her last job before retiring was being a cook at Greeneview North Elementary School.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2026 from 2pm to 4pm at the Creekside Christian Church, 32 N. Limestone Street, Jamestown.
Her last goal in life was to make it to Heaven …….. and praise God, that goal has been accomplished!!
In lieu of flowers, you can make a donation to Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton.

I have many fond memories of Mary and her family. Her husband, Raymond, worked with my father, Harley Rogers, for several years. RIP, sweet Mary.
