Obituary

Martha Valerie Witte, age 59, of Dayton, Ohio, passed away on February 17, 2026.

She was born on November 23, 1966, in Mount Healthy, Ohio, to Charles and Helen Witte, both of whom preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her siblings, MaryBeth Ritter and Juli Witte.

Martha was a faithful Catholic whose life was shaped by compassion and love for others, especially animals. As a veterinary technician, she dedicated herself to caring for and fostering animals in need, a reflection of her gentle and giving nature. She found joy in riding horses and attending horse shows with her family, moments that brought her both peace and connection.

She delighted in life’s simple comforts, watching old television shows and movies, singing along to Hamilton, and sharing her love of music with those around her. Her humor and playful spirit brought light to those who knew her, and she carried that warmth with her throughout her life. Young at heart and full of life, Martha left a lasting impression on everyone she met.

Above all, she was a fiercely loving mother who always protected and supported her children.She is survived by her children, Melissa Nathan Castro, Jack Hutton, Will Hutton, and Marah Hutton; her partner, Kirk Faul; and her siblings, Ed Witte, Ruth Cluxton, Bill Witte, Jody Jim Bosse, and Susan David Williams.

Martha will be laid to rest April 17th in a private ceremony at St. Mary’s Cemetery in St. Bernard, Ohio. A celebration of life will be held the next day. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.glicklerfuneralhome.com.
