Obituary

Mabel Lee Gillihan, age 83 of Dayton, OH, passed away on 4/15/2026. She was born 8/8/1942 in Hazard, KY to Charles & Hazel Crase.

Mabel or Lee as most knew her was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She grew up in Kentucky  but moved to Dayton at 18 where she met her husband and raised her family. She and her husband then retired to his hometown in Arkansas where she cared for him till he passed. She was incredibly proud of her years of hospital volunteer work at White River Medical Center in Batesville Arkansas. She was never happier than when she was visiting and chatting with her friends and family.

She is survived by Granddaughters Elizabeth ‘Libby’ Fickert and Chelsea (James) Barnes, Great Grandchildren Caeden, Madison, Zoe, Jimmy, Jerrod, Ricky, Ivy & Adel. Several nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 37 years Eulice Gillihan, her daughter Janie Leach, siblings J.D Crase and Clarine Campbell.
