Obituary

Luther Edward “Ed” Willis Johnson, age 68, of Dayton, Ohio, passed away on September 16, 2026. He was born June 23, 1958, in Ironton, Ohio.

Ed was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, son and friend. He shared 47 years together and marriage with his loving wife, Bonnie. He worked for 26 years in Trotwood, Ohio. Known affectionately as “Mr. Fix-It,” Ed enjoyed fixing things, fishing, and hunting in his free time.

Ed is survived by his wife, Bonnie Johnson; daughter, Summer Johnson; grandchildren, Felicity and Jasper; siblings, Gilbert Johnson, Bertha Messer, Mary (Kathy) Engle, Debbie Armold, and Jo Moore; and many other loving family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary and Frank Johnson; his infant son; and siblings, Sharon Boyd, Alice Rogers, and George (Frank) Johnson.

Ed will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved him.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Ed’s life on Friday, September 25, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Glickler Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1849 Salem Ave., Dayton, OH 45406. C. D. Moore will officiate the service.
