Obituary

Linda Kay Slaton departed this life on May 10, 2026. She was a native of Gaffney, S.C. and an Ohio resident for over sixty-five years. She attended Roosevelt High School, graduated from Sinclair Community College. She worked for the state of Ohio for over thirty years. Linda was a joyful giver. She was always reaching out to help others. Linda donated her corneas giving sight to two people. Even in death she continued to give.  She enjoyed traveling, spending time with family and friends. She enjoyed drinking cold Pepsi. Linda accepted the Lord Jesus as her Savior and Lord. She is currently absent from the body, but present with the Lord. She is preceded in death by her parents Lemuel Makupson Sr. and Barbara Makupson Byrd, her siblings Brenda Walker Miles and Lemuel Makupson Jr. She is survived by her beloved sons Christopher Slaton I and Bruce Slaton II, beloved grandchildren 

Ashley Slaton (Kellen Sr.) Christopher Slaton II, LaTisia Jeffery (Edward), and Brooklynn Slaton, great grandson Kellen II, brother Ronnie Makupson Falls (Karen), sister Barbara Nwufoh (Victor), dear friend Edward Harvey, and many dear relatives and friends. There will not be a funeral nor memorial service (at this time) per her request. Please feel free to contribute your memories, prayers, and pictures.
