Obituary

Jeffrey Lynn Hebb, born September 8, 1959, was a beloved son, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He passed away peacefully at Hospice of Dayton on August 12, 2026.

Jeffrey was the son of the late Robert and Gretta Hebb. He is survived by his siblings, Peno, Michael, Greta, and Tim.

He leaves behind his two daughters, Jessi Blakley (Billy), and Stella Hyre (Joshua). He was also a grandfather to Heaven, Levi, Katie, Faith, Grace, Dane, Corbin, Colton, Gabriel, and Michael.

Skeeter found joy in the simple things in life. He enjoyed watching old movies, tinkering outside, and sitting down to a good home-cooked meal. He had an appreciation for being outdoors, working with his hands, and spending time with the people he loved.

For his daughters, some of their most treasured memories of their dad are the simple adventures and everyday moments they shared together.

For Stella, those memories include playing by the river, fishing, driving down country roads, camping, and gathering around campfires. They were the kinds of moments that may have seemed ordinary at the time but became some of the most precious memories.

For Jessi, some of her favorite memories include driving her Dad’s cars around the fields long before she was old enough to drive, watching movies at night with her Dad and her sister, and making things together. One especially memorable adventure was the time they decided to make candles together—and accidentally caught the kitchen on fire. It was just one of many imperfect, funny, and unforgettable moments that became part of their family story.

Those memories, along with the love he gave his family, will continue to live on through his children and grandchildren.

He will be deeply missed by his family and loved ones and forever remembered as “Skeeter”—a name and a memory that will remain a part of the family he leaves behind.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, August 15, at 11:00 a.m., at First Christian Church of Huber Heights, 6114 Fishburg Road, Huber Heights, OH 45424. A brief closing ceremony will follow at 12:00 p.m.
