Obituary

It is with deep sorrow and a heavy heart that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved wife, mother and grandmother, Jami Nichole Floyd on July 2nd, 2026. Jami was born March 3, 1980, was a mother to six children and two grandchildren.  Jami will be remembered for her contagious laugh, love of family, cooking and passion for literature. She found joy in watching her children grow and prosper together.

Jami is survived by her husband, J Dillon Floyd; her children: Samantha Rose Russell, Haley Anne Russell, Rylee Nichole Russell, Joseph Cash Russell, and Jacob Hunter Russell, Oliva Jane Floyd; brother, Kyle Lee Cantrell; Parents, Gary and Cheryl Cantrell; grandchildren Wesley Daniel Kent and Marlowe Juniper Kent. Jami was preceded in death by her Maternal and Paternal grandparents.

Jami’s memory will remain a blessing to all who knew her and continue to live on through her family and friends. She will be sorely missed and remembered with love.

The Family would like to thank everyone for their prayers and condolences. A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Her wings were ready, but our Hearts were not.
