Obituary

Gail Lynn Aberman, Rachel Leah bat Yehuda v’Carolyn, 74, of Miami Beach, Florida passed away on August 21, 2026 at Pompano Beach, Florida. Born on May 30, 1952 in Miami Beach, Florida to parents Julian Robert Aberman and Carolyn Juliet Joseph Aberman. She attended Everglades High School and Miami Dades Community College. Gail worked as an optometric technician for a couple different doctors. She proudly served in the Air Force from 1978 to 1981 as an electronic technician. Gail later pursued flight training and nursing school. Known for being a loving older sister, dedication to her faith, warmth of spirit and love of all people, Gail loved the sunny beaches, tennis, art, painting on wood, walking, praying, singing, dancing, reading her Bible and visiting Israel whenever she could. She is survived by sisters Jill Diane Aberman, Deborah Vanchura and Sandra Jo Aberman, daughters Felicia Michelle Barr and Brenda Marie Dougherty, nephew Sean Aberman (Melissa), grandniece Kylee Aberman, grandchildren Aedan Patrick Barr, Eli Dougherty, Tris Barr and Silas Mahlon Hatch. She was preceded in death by her parents, Julian Robert Aberman and Carolyn Juliet Aberman. A graveside service with military honors will be held on September 1st at 10am at the Dayton National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to NAMI in Gail Aberman’s memory.
