Obituary

Frank Raggio Critchley II, of Huber Heights, Ohio, aged 59, died suddenly at his residence on the morning of September 10th, 2025. Frank is survived in death by his two daughters, Alexis Critchley (34) and Victoria Critchley (27) and life partner Gina and faithful dog Shelbi.

He was born in Rainelle, West Virginia on October 20th, 1965, to parents Judith Irene Bell and Frank Raggio Critchley Sr. He is survived by his sister Belinda Welsh, brother James Critchley, and brother-in-law Bobby Welsh, as well as many nephews and nieces: Joseph Welsh; Brittany Tulanko; Micheal Critchley; Alyssa Critchley.

He was proud to work for Lockheed Martin as a test engineer. He attended Wright State University. Frank loved to paint houses. He was a carpenter and loved to build things.

Frank was an athlete and a lifelong sports enthusiast. He loved to coach basketball, softball and soccer. He enjoyed playing Crash Bandicoot on PlayStation with his two daughters.

He was hilarious and loved doing impromptu stand-up comedy for his friends and family.

Frank was a kind, soft soul. He was an avid animal lover. Cute animal videos brought him joy. He loved playing on the floor with Shelbi and taking her for walks.

He loved to go camping and visit Glen Helen Nature Preserve and John Bryan State Park– he loved wildlife preserves and all the smallest of creatures who inhabit them.

Frank found purpose being in service to others. He cared about humanity and the state of the world. He enjoyed preparing home cooked meals and his favorite dish to make for loved ones was fettucine alfredo.

Donations of love and support can be made to The Dayton Dream Center (a non-profit outreach center dedicated to providing support and resources to the people of Dayton affected by poverty, addiction, abuse, joblessness and educational opportunity gaps) or to the Dayton Humane Society.

A memorial service honoring Frank’s life will be held on Sunday, October 26th from 1:00PM to 3:15PM at A House of Prayer, located at 282 Stelton Rd, Xenia OH 45385.
