Obituary

Earl D. Plassenthal, age 71, of Fairborn, Ohio, passed away on February 4th, 2026. He was born on November 30th, 1954 in Dayton, OH to the late Robert and Clara Plassenthal.

Earl was a lifelong resident of Ohio and Cincinnati Bengals fan. He served in the Army from 1972-1976 and worked as a painter for over 30 years. He loved fishing, country music, and spending time with his loved ones. Earl had a huge heart; he would put everyone in his life before himself and helped anyone he could. Everybody loved him and he will be missed dearly.

He is survived by four children, David Plassenthal, Tracy Plassenthal, Melinda Plassenthal, and Joy (Ernie) Snow, fourteen grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his four brothers: Andy (Fonda), Frank (Merry), Vince (Patty), and Roger Plassenthal. Earl is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Earl was preceded in death by his parents, his grandson Elijah Stollings, nephew Brian Plassenthal, and special friend Joann Fairchild.
