Obituary

Douglas Eugene Williams, age 66, passed away, leaving behind a lifetime of memories for those who knew and loved him. He was born on August 18, 1959, in Dayton, Ohio, to Rella Stahley and Jack Williams.

Doug was raised in the Belmont area of Dayton alongside his brothers, James “Lee” and Marvin Williams, and his sisters, Jackie (Kenny) Baughman and Rhonda (Frank) Shutts. The friendships and memories he made during his childhood remained a special part of his life.

A mechanic for his entire adult life, Doug took pride in his work and was known for his strong work ethic and ability to fix just about anything. Outside of work, he found joy in spending time with his family and friends, riding motorcycles, listening to Lynyrd Skynyrd and Hank Williams Jr., and enjoying the outdoors.

Doug was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Carol Williams, whom he loved dearly; his mother, Rella Stahley; his father, Jack Williams; and his brother, James “Lee” Williams.

He is survived by his children, Stephanie Williams; Amanda Sievers (Eric); Jesse Williams (Tessa); and Tiffany Williams (Skyler). He was a proud grandfather to Jocelyn Brammer, Makenna Brammer, Taylor Howard, Natalie Sievers, Emily Sievers, Henley Williams, Jesse Williams Jr., Avalyn Greenspan, Grayson Greenspan, and Beckham Araneda. He is also survived by his brother, Marvin Williams; his sisters, Jackie (Kenny) Baughman and Rhonda (Frank) Shutts; along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and countless friends.

Doug’s life was filled with both triumphs and challenges, but through it all he remained deeply loved by his family and friends. His memory will live on through the stories shared, the music he loved, and the lasting impact he had on those fortunate enough to know him.

He will be deeply missed by so many, and his legacy will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
