Charles Curtiss Sr., 68, of Dayton, Ohio transitioned his life on October 10th, 2024. He was born to the late Juanita Smith and Hosea Ward on July 16, 1956 in Dayton, Ohio. He is preceded in death by 4 brothers and 1 sister.

He leaves to cherish his memory, celebrate his life, and continue his legacy, ex wife and devoted caretaker Sabrina Sinkfield. Children Charles Curtiss II and wife Chika, and Samuel Curtiss. Brothers: Melvin Curtiss (M.L.) of Dayton, Ohio, Henry Lee, Ronnie (Raymond) of Greenwood Miss. Hosie of L.A. Sisters: Anna Marie, Lee, Mary, Dora, and Farris Greenwood Miss. Uncle: Raymond Smith Dayton, Ohio. Special friend (God sister) Syvella Taste, Best friend Charles Smith (Poochie).

Legacy of Charles Curtiss II

Also known as Wolfe and Bone cutter had a passion for Art and music. He is a 1974 graduate of Roosevelt High School. He played in the band and designed and placed the Teddy Bear on the Gymnasium floor at the school. He attended Sinclair College and ITT Tech. Charles was the First Black Artist (Graphic Art) at N.C.R. They loved his style for 15 years. He worked Yoder tool and die 10 years and Walmart 6 years. He loved doing portraits with chalk and colored pencils. His passion for music, playing bass guitar, drums, and keyboards. He played with many local bands, but his passion was CHAZZ band. He helped with Gem City Posse drill team and loved him sum kids. Sharing his skills and trade with his sons, he had a special bond with Sammy. “little” who also was his caretaker. Charles was a laid back person always rocking with a rhythm in his head. He was caring and daring. We will miss you dearly. Rest in peace.
