Obituary

Chad Lee Blank, age 45 passed away unexpectedly the morning of August 31st, 2026. He was working in Ohio for Hooper Electric.

Chad worked most of his adult life through the IBEW Local 876 Electrical Union for several companies in and out of state. He was a substation technician, journeyman and foreman depending on the job. He worked mostly on Substations and a few times putting up solar panels. He graduated from North Kent HS in Grand Rapids and then attended Baker College in Muskegon receiving a certificate in Criminal Justice.

He enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing and spending time with friends, family and four children. He met his wife Jessica in 2002, and they lived in Holland before moving to Allegan in 2012. His family was his whole world, and it gave him great pleasure spending time with his wife and four children.

He is survived by his wife Jessica and four children Alexys Maria, James Michael, Oliver Russel and Emry Lee all of Allegan. He is also survived by his mother Sara (Dan) VanderMolen of Marne, his father Phillip Blank of Hessel, a sister Jill (Ben) Lampen of Grand Rapids, mother and father in law John (Lori) Perales of Wayland, two brothers-in-law Matthew (Candace) Perales of Florence Arizona and Michael (Valerie) Perales of Fennville, several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life is planned for September 19th from 11am – 2pm at The Hartman Conference Center located at 690 N Eastern Ave., Allegan, MI 49010.
