Obituary

Cecelia Marlow, age 65, of Dayton, Ohio, was joyfully welcomed into the presence of her Lord and Savior on January 24, 2026. Born on November 5, 1960, in Dayton, she was the daughter of the late James Albert Marlow and Ada Cecil Marlow (Siler).

Cecelia lived a life rooted in faith, love, and devotion to her family. She trusted God deeply and drew strength from her relationship with Jesus Christ. Her life reflected compassion, resilience, and a heart that always made room for others. While her earthly journey has ended, her eternal life has just begun.

As Paul declares in scripture; “For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.” Philippians 1:21 (KJV)

She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Virgie Myers.

Cecelia leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish her memory: her children James and Camilla Owens, Justin Owens, Jonas Owens, and Jacob and Stephanie Smith; her brother Jim Marlow; her treasured grandchildren Gwendolynne, Ethan, Curtis, Ryan and Taylor Hatfield, Zachary, Sierra, Anthony, Aliegha, Genevieve, Nathaniel, Angel, Naomi, Jonas, Makayla, Conner, Kaiser, Kyndall, and Cole; and her precious great-grandchildren AJ, Draco, Diane, Arabelle, Madelyn, Dixie, Christian, Adrian, Keion, Janiyah, Ember and Lydia. She is also fondly remembered by extended family members and dear friends.

Cecelia’s heartfelt wish was that her family would seek Jesus Christ and grow in a personal relationship with Him. This desire was central to her life and is the legacy she leaves behind.

A celebration of Cecelia’s life will be held Saturday February 7th, 2026, at Wesleyan Evangelistic Church, 2104 Revere Avenue, Dayton, Ohio 45420. Officiated by Pastor John Manley.

Visitation with the family will be from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., followed by a Celebration of Life service beginning at 11:00 a.m. Light refreshments will be served afterward in the church basement for all family and friends.

Though we grieve at her passing, we rejoice in knowing that Cecelia now rests in perfect peace, reunited with loved ones and rejoicing in the presence of her Savior.
