Obituary

Carl V. Hewitt, age 56, of Xenia, passed away Wednesday, October 23,2024 at home, of natural causes.  He was born December 26, 1967 in Xenia Ohio.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Tency Lemmings; his parents: Lester Hewitt and Millie Spurlock; brothers: Bill and Bob Hewitt; sister: Margie Hamilton; brother-in-law Albert Boblitt

Carl is survived by his  children: Angel (Joe) Engle of Wapakoneta; Cristal Gilbert of Lima; Carl (Tasha) Lemmings of Springfield; Loving girlfriend of 8years: Amy Vanhoose; siblings: Gene (Sheila) Hewitt; Jani Boblitt; grandchildren: Sandra, Caitlin, Emily, Joe, Zachary, Kayla, and Faith; Special mentions: “Aunt” Eileen Rose; niece: Missy Lewis-Hoskins; life long best friend: Donnie Grooms.  numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

He had been a painter and handyman the majority of his life.  When he loved, he loved hard; when he grudged, he grudged harder.  He was an energetic free spirit, and walked on the wild side.  Carl spent the latter part of his life trying to mend his broken heart as well as broken bonds with those he cared for.  He was a lost soul trying to find his way and now has been re-united with those loved and lost.

Services are being held at Glickler Funeral Home & Cremation Services 1849 Salem Ave., Dayton OH 45406; Wednesday, October 30, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
