Obituary
Amy B. Hughes, age 60 of Greenville, Ohio, passed away peacefully on September 14, 2025 after a late diagnosis with cancer. She was born March 28, 1965 to the late Charles and Marjorie Huntington.
A lifelong resident of Greenville, she graduated from Greenville High School in 1983. She played saxophone in the high school band, was active in the choir and theater. Outside of school, Amy was an active member of 4-H, The International Order of the Rainbow for Girls, and later, The Order of the Eastern Star.
Amy had a strong work ethic her entire life, spending many years as a supervisor at McDonalds in Greenville, Ohio before working at Whirlpool in Greenville, Ohio, Kings Command Foods in Versailles, Ohio and finally Fram in Greenville, Ohio. Outside of work, Amy was an active member of her church and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Amy is survived by her two children, Meghan (Ryan) Murray and Andrew Frazier, siblings Becky Allion, Terri Huntington, and Bill Huntington, and grandchildren Benjamin McGlothin, Adalynne McGlothin, Ian McGlothin, and Alexandra Murray, along with her niece Katy (Dan) Johnson and nephew Evan (Ashley) Allion, and numerous grandnieces, grandnephews, aunts, and cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Marjorie Huntington, brother George Michael Huntington, and brother-in-law Jim Allion.
Amy spent her last days surrounded by the people she loved while in the care of Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 11th at 2:00pm, First United Methodist Church, 202 W 4th St., Greenville, OH 45331. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.glicklerfuneralhome.com.
