Gerbs, Alfred, age 96, passed away on November 19, 2025

Al was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ruth Gerbs (Wander), his loving daughter Sheryl Gerbs, and his loving parents, Sam and Mollie Gerbs. Al leaves behind his loving son, Jack Gerbs and daughter-in-law Barbara.  Al was blessed with an adoring grandson, William Gerbs.

Al was born in Brooklyn N.Y.  He began his career in the U.S. Maritime  Service where he learned how to maintain pressure vessels and engineering skills. After his Maritime Service, he was drafted into the US Army. He started his professional career performing boiler inspections for an insurance company. He later advanced to performing quality control inspections for a major US engineering company. His career brought him to Ohio in 1971.

He loved going to services at Tifereth Israel. He was an Amateur Radio Operator, loved tinkering with electronics, yard work and being with friends and family.   

Graveside services will be held on November 21, 2025, at 11:00 AM, at the Tifereth Israel Cemetery, 2565 Performance Way, Columbus, Ohio 43207.
